Disclaimer, and what we do not claim

The disclosure, in full

This is a referral website. Work is carried out by established, licensed and insured local roofing contractors.

That is the whole arrangement and we would rather you read it here than work it out later. Blue Mountains Roofers is how you get in touch; the roofing work on your house is performed by contractors who hold the relevant licences and insurances and who work to NSW Fair Trading requirements.

What that means for you in practice

You deal with one phone number — (02) 4703 5000 — for the inspection, the quote and the job. The inspection and the written quote are free and carry no obligation. Completed work carries a written workmanship warranty.

The contract for the work itself, and the licence and insurance behind it, sit with the contractor who carries it out. You are entitled to ask to see that licence and those insurances before work starts, and you should.

About the information on this site

The roofing, climate, heritage and bushfire information on these pages is general in nature and written to help you understand what commonly happens to roofs in this area. It is not a professional assessment of your particular building.

Specifically:

• Altitude and climate figures are drawn from public sources such as the Bureau of Meteorology and are long-term averages, not predictions.
• References to Blue Mountains LEP 2015, the Development Control Plan, bush fire prone land mapping and AS 3959 are included to explain what usually applies. They are not planning advice. Your Section 10.7 planning certificate, a current BAL assessment and Blue Mountains City Council are the authoritative sources for your property.
• Nothing on this site should be relied on in place of an inspection of your own roof.

Quotes and prices

No dollar figures are published anywhere on this site, deliberately. Roof size, pitch, material, access and how far damage has already spread change a price too much for any published figure to be meaningful. A price is given in writing after someone has inspected the roof.

Images

Photographs on this site are illustrative of the types of roofing work described. They are not presented as records of specific completed jobs, specific addresses or specific customers.

Reviews and ratings

There are none on this site, because there are none to show yet. No rating, review count or testimonial has been invented to fill the gap, and none will be published until it is genuine.
